During the Summer of 1998 I ran my first camp as a Scout Leader and two of the year 7 Scouts on their first camp were Peter Clarson and Thomas Hecht. Having just returned home from spending a few days on this years camp at Hay on Wye I can only wonder at how these two young men have developed into such competant and confident leaders. My particular thanks go to Peter who carried out so much of the planning and organisation of the camp. It is no easy task keeping 50 people, ranging in age from 12 to 62, fed, waterered and above all else occupied! Well done Peter. My thanks also to all the other leaders and helpers who made such a big effort to make the camp a success. The photo shows Thomas (left) and Peter, rafting on the Tees. how time moves on, (sigh).
