The annual Year 9 and 10 expedition to the Lakes was an outstanding success again this year, with meltingly hot Summer weather and excellent routes over the 5 days. Easedale Tarn, Helvellyn (including Striding Edge), Coniston Old Man, Langdale Pikes, Scafell (and Pike), and Blencathra.
All the year 9s and 10s improved their general hillwalking skills, fitness, and navigation tremendously throughout the week and the two year groups walked very well together each day. The evenings were filled with DVD-entertainment, one stroll into Grasmere, and sleep!
Highlights included chatting (or seeing in Person [y10s]) the Senior Adventurous Training group (also Y10) over the new super strength radios (20km) and all the stunt photos we managed to take throughout the week.
