This weekend, one of the Year 11 explorer scouts organised a wild camping weekend in the Lake District. 6 boys accompanied by leaders battled the wind and the rain and had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.
Arriving in the Lakes late on Friday evening we had a short night hike from Seathwaite to Gillercomb where the boys demonstrated their skills at putting up tents in the wind, rain and dark!
On Saturday we climbed Green Gable and Great Gable before descending to Sprinkling Tarn, Esk Hause and down to Great Moss where we spent Saturday evening.
On Sunday the group ascended from the wild camp to Esk Pike before descending Grains Gill back to Seathwaite.
